How much can I make?

It depends on your field, credentials and the project. Open engineering and CAD programs pay $40 to $160 an hour. Life sciences programs pay $70 to $150, physical sciences $75 to $140, and medical programs up to $200. Your exact rate is confirmed in writing before you start. Every program lists its rate on the open programs page.

How do I qualify?

You need a degree in your field and at least two years of professional practice, or an advanced degree with active research experience. After you apply, you complete a short assessment in your specialty, about 20 minutes, conducted online. No prior AI experience is needed.

What does the work look like?

You might critique a model-generated drawing for GD&T errors, check whether a grasp that works in simulation would hold up on real hardware, write a hard problem that a model gets wrong, grade an analysis of microscopy data, or explain step by step how you would design an assay. Projects are remote and run from a few weeks to several months.

How many hours can I work, and when?

Most experts work 5 to 20 hours a week, on their own schedule, around project deadlines. Some projects have capacity for full-time work.

How and when do I get paid?

Weekly, by direct deposit, for approved hours. You will see your rate and payment terms before accepting any project.

Does applying guarantee a project?

No. Applying makes you eligible. We match you when a project needs your background, and your profile stays active for future work.

Measurement

Use PostHog to measure page visits, how people move through our business and expert applications, errors, and page speed. PostHog sets a cookie with a visitor ID, which becomes your email after you submit a business form. Includes the email, company and domain typed on business forms. No other form answers, advertising, or session replay.

Advertising

Allow Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure visits and funnel actions, connect them to ads, and help personalize ads on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. These providers receive page URLs, browser information, and event details. When you submit a business or expert application, our server also sends LinkedIn a one-way SHA-256 hash of your email address, the submission time and reference, and LinkedIn’s click ID if you came from a LinkedIn ad, so LinkedIn can match the submission to an ad. We do not send your name, phone number, or other form answers. We also save how you reached us (campaign link, ad network, referring site, landing page) with your application.
